Ayelet Zurer

Ayelet Zurer is one of Israel's most highly regarded actresses. She was born in Tel Aviv, and first attracted the attention of Hollywood after she was cast by Steven Spielberg in her first English-speaking role, as Eric Bana's wife in the Oscar(r) nominated film Munich (2005). Zurer has been in a variety of Studio films since her arrival in America, including Sony Pictures' Vantage Point which starred William Hurt and Dennis Quaid, Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Parts, which starred Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected in the role of Jeff Goldblum, and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons, opposite Tom Hanks, Darling Companion which is a Lawrence Kasdan ensemble casting that features Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel with Russell Crow. Ewan McGregor was her co-filming partner in Rodrigo Garces' Last Days in Desert. She also waited for The Last Knights to be released by Kazuaki Kriya who is Kazuaki Kriya, the Japanese director. She recently received the Gold Nymph Award for Outstanding Actress in the Drama Series at the 54th Festival of Television in Monte-Carlo for her role in the series "Hostages". Ayelet has been awarded the Israeli Film And Television Academy Award for her performance as the lead in Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet also won nominations for her work in the films Only Dogs Run Free, The Dybbuk from the Holy Apple Field, Desperado, and Rutenberg. She was awarded the Haifa International Film Festival critic award and also received a star on Haifa’s "film boulevard" for her local and international achievements. Zurer won the Israeli Television Academy Award, for her part in "In Treatment" which was a highly well-reviewed series of television that was adapted to American television by HBO. Zurer was also nominated for appropriateness in 2014's best drama "Shtisel" as well as received the award for best actress in drama for her portrayal as a brilliant surgeon who is facing the death-and-life dilemma in Hostages. The series was sold to BBC4 and Canal Plus and the American ABC. Golbary is Israel's biggest woman-focused clothing brand is her "face". Ayelet is a producer as well as a artist, writer and the illustrator for two adult books, "Shorts" and the bestseller "Badolina" written by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet is currently working on several projects in Israel and in the USA. She has expressed an the desire for international collaboration with directors from around the globe since she believes in joining unknown writers/directors.
