Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actress. She was a part of the Teletoon children’s comedy series Majority Rules as Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010. She then starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic series of science fiction Revolution from 2012-2014, on which she received an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson played Annika on the A&E television series Bates Motel. Spiridakos has appeared on the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. Spiridakos is the character the role of Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owner George Spiridakos, who were both born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two brothers. The family relocated to their father's home town, Skala, Greece south of Sparta only a few years after she was born, and returned to Canada in 1992. She strongly feels connected to her Greek roots, and can speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting at her junior high school. She continued her studies at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos left Winnipeg to pursue acting in 2007 to pursue acting. She was able to get her first TV role on Supernatural within a matter of weeks. She continued to work in TV, and was able to get walk-on parts on Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was in the TV film Goblin and in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos also appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her debut starring role as Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! She made her debut as a feature film in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and filmed the low-budget Michael Greenspan-helmed thriller, Kill for Me, which featured her alongside Donal Logue and Katie Cassidy. Spiridakos played Sammi's character on Rags (2012) in the Nickelodeon original film. Spiridakos was then offered a main role in Revolution in the role of Charlotte Matheson (survivor of a dystopian society) and telecast on NBC television. In her pilot season, she auditioned for this role. Spiridakos shot her pilot in Atlanta. The first season was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. The actress was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on television for her performance in the first season but was beaten out by Anna Torv of Fringe's Anna. The second season of the show was recorded in Austin, Texas.
