Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was born Los Angeles,
California to Quincy Jones, a media mogul and producer, and Peggy Lipton,
Rashida is the younger sister of actress Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones. Kidada
Jones is her older sister. She also has five half-siblings from her father's
other relationships. Her father is African American and her mother is Ashkenazi
Jewish (a descendant emigrants from Russia as well as Latvia). Rashida was born
into Reform Judaism. She was born in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Jones
claimed that her mixed-race parentage was not accepted by the public until the
1970s. Jones was a professional actor when she made her debut on The Last Don,
a 1997 mini-series based on the novel written by Mario Puzo. In 1997, Rashida
graduated from Harvard University. Took a course at the Buckley School, Sherman
Oaks, California. Awarded Most Likely To Succeed. Arabic (O+O'UO O(c)) is her
nickname. It is the word for "Major", mature, adult and wise. On

tribute song to Tupac Shakur, who was married to her sister Kidada Jones.
Rashida as well as Kidada's brother Quincy Jones III produced the song, and
their father, Quincy Jones, made appearances, singing the lines of the song by
Tupac Shakur "Starry Night" during the introduction. The poem was the
source for the song's title. Rashida's father is African-American, as well as
having smaller amounts of English, Scottish, and Welsh ancestral family
ancestry (some of his African relatives were of the Tikar people of Cameroon).
Rashida is Ashkenazi Jewish, of Russian Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent. Her
maternal grandparents came from South Carolina and Mississippi. Her maternal grandfather
was born in New York and her maternal grandmother, who is of Eastern European
Jewish descent, was born in Dublin, Ireland. She has played three characters
known as "Karen" from 2009 to present on the TV show that is a cult
comedy show Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella (2006), and The Office (2005).
